The most comfortable way to marvel at the beauty of these four countries is certainly from a ship. Along gorgeous Rhine landscapes with its proudly towering castles, the voyage takes you from the Netherlands via Germany through the Alsace in France until you reach the marvellous Switzerland.
Enjoy the diversity and the variety of the four countries, which you cruise through in only 8 days on board the MS SE-MANON.
Individual arrival for embarkation in Amsterdam. The capital of the Netherlands with its famous canals (Dutch Grachten) and more than 1000 bridges is considered the Venice of the North.

Nijmegen
You will reach Nijmegen already in the morning, so you may directly take a stroll through this marvellous city. Market Square with the ancient weighing house, the Gothic St. Steven`s Church, medieval Bourgeois Houses, restaurants and galleries – the city`s history reaches back to Roman times. Discover the treasures of the Netherlands` oldest city during an optional walking tour, before the MS SE-MANON sets sail for Germany in the afternoon.

Düsseldorf
This morning you will spend in the elegant and liveable Düsseldorf, a vibrant and buzzing city on the Rhine. From the world-famous Königsallee, affectionately called „Kö“, it is not far to the historic Old Town. Explore on an optional city tour by coach the best bits of the North Rhine-Westphalian capital.

Loreley – Rüdesheim
In the morning, pass by the Loreley rock, shrouded in legend, before you reach Rüdesheim. Rüdesheim is world-famous for its Drosselgasse Wine Alley and is among the most popular destinations on a Rhine tour. An interesting way to see the vineyards is a ride on the winegrower`s express train (optional), included is also a guided walking tour with visit to the Music Cabinet Museum. On the tour, learn more about the history and the sights of the town.

Speyer - Heidelberg
In the morning, explore the Cathedral City of Speyer on an optional walking tour. The Imperial Cathedral is considered the largest still existing Romanesque Church in Europe. Furthermore, in the afternoon, you have the opportunity to get to know better the marvellous University City of Heidelberg on a city tour (optional) by coach. Heidelberg with the historic Neckar Bridge is certainly rightly believed to be one of Germany`s most beautiful cities. Discover the Baroque houses in the medieval Old Town. Afterwards, visit the Heidelberg castle grounds and the elegant castle gardens before returning to the ship by coach.

Strasbourg
Experience the French lifestyle paired with international flair in the Alsatian city: on a coach city tour/ walking tour, explore the charming city of Strasbourg with its tanners` quarter and its half-timbered houses along the Ill River. In the afternoon, relax on board and recall the moments and impressions of the journey, or take a stroll and explore the city on your own. In the late afternoon, your ship sets sail for the last destination of this voyage.

Basel
In the morning, you reach Basel. With an over 2000-year old history, which has left its marks and is still present today, the culture city on the Rhine lives in an exciting contrast with modernity. On a city tour by coach (optional), among other sights discover Basel`s well-preserved Old Town, narrow alleys and hidden places.

For this purpose, you will receive our ship-specific hygiene concept when booking/inquiring.
Travel documents: For this journey, EU-citizens need a valid passport or ID-card, which must be valid for at least 6 months after last day of travel. It is absolutely necessary that you contact us, if you have either a non-EU citizenship or a multiple citizenship, or if you have to respect special entry requirements. Voltage: 220 V AC electrical sockets. Itinerary:In principle, all itineraries and schedules may be subject to changes. In case a route cannot be operated due to high or low water levels, the cruise company reserves the right to operate part of the route or the entire route by motor coach or to reroute the itinerary. At any time, the captain of the ship is authorised to modify the itinerary for the safety of the passengers. Clothing: smart casual. In the evening, no formal attire required. For the captain`s dinner, we suggest that women wear a pretty dress or lady`s suit, for men a suit. Gratuities:It is customary to give the crew gratuities. Naturally, the amount is discretionary. Optional Excursions:We will be delighted to send you an order form with our range of optional excursions prior to departure. All excursions are in the German language. Accessibility: This journey is not suitable for persons with limited mobility.

All 75 cabins are outside cabins (approx.14 m²) and are comfortably equipped with hotel-style beds. They feature en-suite facilities with shower* (*cabin no. 306, 307, 308, 309 with bathtub), satellite TV, safe, hair dryer, internal telephone line and individual adjustable air conditioning. Upper Deck: cabins featuring French balconies (= floor-to-ceiling sliding glass door). Middle Deck: The huge panorama windows can be opened. Main Deck: The small windows cannot be opened. (Height approx. 40 cm).
The inviting spa area offers a holiday for body and soul, and in the small sauna and in the whirlpool, you may want to rest and relax. For endurance and fitness training, there is a small number of cardio equipment available. The MS SE-MANON, holds a reading lounge with small library, an elegant place for a quiet time to devour your summer reads. In the restaurant with panorama windows, enjoy the views over the passing scenery while the crew serves your meal or while you recall the moments of the day over a glass of wine listening to relaxing music. The spacious sun deck is partly shaded and features plenty of deckchairs. A special highlight is the outdoor pool at the aft of the ship.
There is an elevator running between Middle and Upper Deck! The ship is not wheelchair accessible. Smoking is permitted on the open deck, all the other spaces on board are non-smoking areas.
