The Rhine Cycle Route with Bike & Boat

Koblenz

The Rhine Cycle Route

The Rhine has always been one of Europe's most important lifelines, not only influencing life on its banks but literally shaping it. Imposing buildings such as castles, fortresses and cathedrals underline the importance of the river for the people who already lived from it in the time of the ancient Romans - and still do, because the Rhine is one of the busiest waterways in the world. Millions of tonnes of goods are transhipped every year in dozens of ports between Basel and Rotterdam.

The rich history of the Rhine can be wonderfully experienced on the Rhine Cycle Route. But there are also plenty of cultural attractions. Art museums, theatres and much more await along the route.

Cyclists can also look forward to fantastic cuisine. Fish dishes, rösti and spaetzle give you strength for the next cycling stage. Of course, wine lovers won't miss out either. Vineyards line the Rhine to the left and right and provide many a fine drop.

SE-Tours Bike & Boat

Cycling with boat along the Rhine Cycle Route

The combination of bike and boat is perfect for tourists who want to actively experience their destination, this is especially true for the Rhine Cycle Route and all its sights. Sporty, comfortable, individual and yet in a nice community, there are plenty of opportunities to get to know the country and its people. In contrast to ordinary cycle tours, cycle and boat tours offer a decisive advantage: you only have to pack your suitcase once. Your hotel boat will accompany you on the entire journey. During the day, you can enjoy the scenic beauty, buildings and metropolises from your bike before relaxing with a drink in the cosy ship lounge in the evening.
