Individual arrival for embarkation in Düsseldorf. Our on-board tour guide will welcome you with a glass of sparkling wine before we cast off for the first time on this cruise at around 18:00.
In the morning, you reach Koblenz, the city where the Rhine and Moselle meet at the Deutsches Eck. Four low mountain ranges with their forests, green spaces and water areas form the backdrop for the unique scenery surrounding the city. On the optional wine experience tour ‘WeinSpaziert’, you can stroll along the most spectacular sights, learn historical anecdotes and taste regional wines in very special places.
You reach Speyer at breakfast time. The city has an almost Mediterranean flair. Early in the year, you can sit on the numerous café terraces in Maximilianstraße and let the sun tickle your face. And of course, the venerable imperial city looks back on a rich and eventful past. Impressive facades, winding alleyways and romantic squares characterise the cityscape. On the themed city tour (optional) ‘gelungen geschlungen’ you will learn all about Speyer's national pastry and the legends of the city's history.
A tip for technology fans for the afternoon: the Technik Museum Speyer (individual tour).
Experience the French way of life combined with international flair in the Alsatian metropolis. On a city tour/walk (optional), you will explore charming Strasbourg with its tanners' quarter - also known as La Petite France - and its half-timbered façades around the River Ill. In the afternoon, we offer you a special highlight, a coach trip on the wine route with wine tasting. On the included excursion, you will explore the legendary route along picturesque villages and extraordinary landscapes. A wine tasting of Alsatian wines at one of the wineries is of course a must.
This morning's programme includes the square city of Mannheim, whose city centre was laid out in 144 planned squares. Explore the city in comfort on a city tour (optional). The tour takes place in a historic tram from 1963 and gives this excursion a very special charm. In the afternoon, you will then travel by coach (optional) to the beautiful university city of Heidelberg, which you will get to know better on a city tour. The city with the historic Neckar Bridge and the famous castle is rightly considered one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. Discover the baroque houses of the medieval old town and round off the excursion with a short wine tasting. Afterwards, take the coach back to the ship. During the night, set course for Rüdesheim.
Rüdesheim is the wine town in the German Rhine Valley, world-famous for its Drosselgasse and one of the most popular destinations on a trip along the Rhine. In the morning, take a city tour on the Winzerexpress (optional) to discover this multifaceted town on the Rhine. Afterwards, take the cable car up to the Niederwalddenkmal. Take in the impressive view of the river and vineyard landscape. The excursion is rounded off with a tasting of the famous Rüdesheim coffee in the historic city centre. In the afternoon, there will be enough time to explore Rüdesheim on your own. For all wine lovers, we recommend a visit to the ‘RheinWeinWelt’ vinotheque. After a short introduction, you can taste the wines of your choice on your own. To round off your gourmet cruise, your captain invites you to a gala dinner. Enjoy this first-class dinner as you continue your journey to Düsseldorf.

Excursion program We would be happy to send you an order form with our offer on excursions prior to departure. The excursions will be held in German language. The excursions can only be booked in English language on request (depending on the excursion agency and the minimum number of participants).
Itinerary or program are subject to change at any time. If due to low or high water levels, or bad weather conditions, a route cannot be sailed, the captain reserves the right to alter the itinerary for your safety. (No legal right shall arise in either situation). The same shall apply for repair or maintenance works on locks and bridges ordered by river and other local authorities with little or no advance.
Important notice Please bear in mind that your ship is not only your “vacation hotel”, but also a piece of equipment that is powered by an engine and has to be operated constantly, even at night (sometimes with lock and bridge passages). We recommend that guests who are particularly sensitive to noise bring earplugs. Disturbances must always be expected when passing through locks. Please note: at low water, the pool may have to be emptied to reduce the draught of the ship and is then not available.
Travel documents EU-citizens (without special situations like dual citizenship, main residence abroad or a limited-validity passport) are required to have a valid passport or ID-card, not expiring within six (6) months of the return of your cruise. We kindly ask non-EU citizens, EU-nationals with multiple citizenship or anybody who has to respect special legal entry requirements for the country to visit, to inform about visa and entry documents at the competent embassy.
This trip is not suitable for guests with reduced mobility.
We recommend that you take out a foreign travel health insurance with repatriation coverage, an accident insurance, a luggage insurance and a travel cancellation insurance.
