Surrounded by crystal-clear water, you will find secluded bays, green hills, rugged stone landscapes, and small harbor towns steeped in history. Experience the charm of the Adriatic in a very special way with a romantic motor sailboat and a bicycle.

The days begin with a hearty breakfast that will leave you fit and ready to explore the diversity of Kvarner Bay on guided bike tours. Whether it's the medieval town of Rab, the incredible diversity of the landscapes of Krk, or the tranquil life of the inhabitants of the small island of Ilovik – every day brings something new to discover.

Travel Details

Individual arrival in Omišalj, a nice little harbor village on the island of Krk. If you’re planning to arrive by car, we will organize a safe parking space for you. Check-in on the motor yacht between 2 and 2:30 pm. At approx. 3 pm the ship takes us to the island of Cres in about four hours. On Cres we take a walk through the Venetian old town in the evening.

Sun deck of Andela Lora ship with wooden flooring, deck chairs, and metal railings overlooking turquoise water and forested coastline.
White cruise ship Andela Lora anchored in turquoise waters near a Croatian coastal town with stone buildings, church tower, and parking area.

After breakfast we start our tour from the city of Cres to Martinšćica. The boat awaits our arrival and lunch is served during the cruise to the island of Lošinj. If the weather is good, the captain will arrange a swim stop along the way before tying off in the wellness harbor town of Mali Lošinj. The port with its colourful facades and numerous cafes offers its visitors a welcoming atmosphere for a relaxed evening.

Wooden sign hanging on tree trunk advertising ice cream flavors in Croatian. Text reads 'Feigeneis SLADOLED od SMOKVE Gelato Fichi'.
Orange wall with open window featuring light blue shutters, stone windowsill with trailing ivy, and hanging macramé planters with flowers.

After breakfast, today's bike tour begins, taking you from Cres town to Martinšćica. Here, your ship will be waiting for you for lunch and to take you to the island of Lošinj. If the weather is good, you can take a refreshing swim break on the way before your ship reaches the old seafaring and spa town of Mali Lošinj with its large harbor basin, numerous cafés, and colorfully painted house facades. Here, many beautiful cafés and bars invite you to enjoy a sundowner on the lively waterfront promenade.

Coastal town of Veli Lošinj in Kvarner Bay with white bell tower, colorful buildings, small harbor with boats, and clear blue water.

During breakfast the ship leaves Molat and takes us past many small islands to the "spice island" of Dugi Otok. Our bike tour starts in the bay of Božava which is surrounded by pine woods, agaves and tamarisk trees. We ride on an almost traffic free road. Our ride takes us first to a beautiful viewpoint at the northernmost point of the Island where the old Austrian lighthouse of Veli Rat resides. From here we continue by bike along the island ridge with beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding island landscapes all the way to the bay of Savar where the boat awaits us for a cruise to Zadar. Zadar has been the political, cultural and spiritual centre of Dalmatia for centuries. 3000 years of history have left their imprint on the character of this town and there are many things to be admired: the mighty fortified walls with their bastions, the loggia and the early Romanesque St. Donatus Basilica. In the evening our tour guide takes us on an extensive walk through the lively city centre.

Panoramic view of Dugi Otok in Kvarner Bay showing green hills with Mediterranean vegetation overlooking the blue Adriatic Sea.
Ancient circular St. Donatus Church with stone walls and tall white bell tower in Zadar's main square, with Roman columns and tourists.

After a long crossing by boat in the morning we reach the island of Pag. In the harsh but delightful landscape of the island we come across many fig and olive trees. Over the centuries the inhabitants built numerous stone walls for protection against the wind. Starting from Novalja we cycle on the narrow peninsula until we reach the sea from where the ship takes us to Rab. The island of Rab is one of the sunniest places in Europe. The town of Rab, the fortified capital of the island, was built in the Middle Ages on a wedge shaped headland and marks one of the highlights of the trip. The four famous bell towers are a symbol of the adorned beauty of the town. After dinner we can explore the narrow alleys with numerous cosy cafés.

White woolly sheep standing in a vibrant yellow flower field on Pag Island in Kvarner Bay, with trees and overcast sky in the background.

Today we get to know the charming island of Rab on a lovely ride around the island. At lunchtime the ship awaits us in the harbour directly in front of the old town of Rab. We cruise towards the island of Krk and anchor along the way for a refreshing swim stop from the boat. In the late afternoon we reach the island of Krk where we spend the evening in the historical town of Krk.

Cycle over the island's ridge, covered with fragrant macchia, into a valley of vineyards and reach the museum town of Vrbnik in the northeast. Built on a rock over 50 m high in the middle of the vineyards, Vrbnik is home to the white Žlahtina wine. For lovers of superlatives, Vrbnik also offers the second narrowest alley in the world – a challenge for strollers. The rest of the route takes you across the island through old villages and lush vegetation to Omišalj – Rijeka comes into view. On the way, you can take a healing mud bath in Soline Bay. Afterwards, round off your eventful trip with a leisurely dinner and a final evening on board. Overnight stay in Omišalj.

Bringing your own bikes For the trip you have booked, you will need a bike with derailleur gears in perfect technical condition, as the tours usually lead through hilly to mountainous terrain. We offer high-quality, well-maintained rental bikes. However, if you prefer to bring your own trekking bike, please check the condition of the brakes, gears, and tires before the trip and bring a repair kit and spare parts (e.g., inner tube). Please note that transporting your own bike on the plane incurs relatively high additional costs and there is a high risk of damage during transport. Due to safety regulations on the ships and to protect the health of our employees, it is not possible to bring your own e-bike. If you would like to ride an e-bike, please rent one from our stock. We do not recommend bringing your own road bike, as the narrow road bike tires are not suitable for the roads we travel on. The organizer accepts no liability for any damage to a bike you bring with you that is caused during loading, unloading, or transport.

Group pace On most bike & boat tours, you can choose between a trekking bike and an e-bike to participate in the daily tours. However, the guided group pace is based on the trekking bike riders. If you rent an e-bike on a trekking bike tour, we ask that you be considerate of those who are riding without electronic assistance. We thank you for your understanding. This tour is primarily designed as a guided group tour. After prior consultation with our tour guides and selection of a suitable route, there is nothing to prevent you from cycling individually. Instead of a bike tour, you can also spend half a day or a whole day on the ship.

Timetable and program changes Changes due to weather, water levels, or technical conditions are always reserved for boat trips.

Travel documents EU citizens (who do not have any special circumstances, e.g., dual citizenship, primary residence abroad, or provisionally issued travel documents) require a valid identity card or passport for this trip, which must be valid for at least 6 months after the end of the trip. If you have a different citizenship or multiple citizenships, or if you have to comply with special legal requirements, please check the respective visa and entry requirements with your local consulate.

This trip is not suitable for people with limited mobility.

We recommend taking out international health insurance with repatriation, accident, baggage, and travel cancellation insurance.
