Bike & Barge or Bike & Boat is a special type of cycling holiday: during the day, you explore the region by bicycle, and in the evening your ship awaits as a floating hotel. This way, active cycling is combined with relaxed travel – without the need to pack and unpack your luggage every day.

SE-Tours operates in various European countries and regions. These include, among others, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Belgium, France, Croatia, the United Kingdom, Italy, Greece, Poland, and Denmark. Major rivers and waterways include the Danube, Rhine, Moselle, Main, Neckar, Oder, Havel, Saar, and other European rivers and coastal regions.

On a self-guided tour you can design your cycle day as you want. We will furnish the detailed information material including maps. On a guided tour, you cycle in a group together with an experienced tour guide who knows his way around.

On SE-Tours Original trips, guests receive printed itinerary guides on board. As a rule, one itinerary guide is provided per cabin. In addition, travel documents and maps can be accessed digitally via the GUIBO app. The app contains important travel information, ship information, contact details, and cycling routes—including GPS data—and can also be used offline. The login credentials for the booked trip are provided via email before the trip begins.

SE-Tours trips are designed for guests who appreciate active travel, comfortable travel, and reliable organization. This includes beginners and leisure cyclists, active vacationers, couples, solo travelers, and guests who want to enjoy a classic river cruise that combines relaxation, culture, and scenic experiences.

Available upon request, with an additional fee and in limited quantity. We will not be held liable for any damages – resulting from the transfer from ship to land and back or other – loss or theft. Please note that we only take E-bikes with a removable battery. Repairs have to be conducted on your own. The breakdown service of our tour guides does not cover the usage of your own bicycles and is not included.

Unfortunately, special bicycle sizes such as tricycles, tandems etc. cannot be transported on our ships.

In the event of a breakdown, please call our on-board tour guide or the captain. They will be happy to help you as quickly as possible. 

A prerequisite for a great bike tour is a good bike. You can find all the details about our bikes and e-bikes here. SE-Tours offers bikes from a height of 1.50 m to 2.0 m and a body weight of up to 110 kg. Only a limited number of e-bikes are available on the ships. Early reservation is therefore necessary.

Bicycle rental insurance: If a cycle insurance is listed as part of “services included”, then it is included in the price for one rental bike and covers both, theft and accidental damages. If the need should arise, we will provide a replacement as soon as possible. Not covered are negligence or willful destruction.
