Travel Details
Embarkation and check-in begin at 2:00 PM, when the crew will welcome you aboard in Amsterdam city center. After stowing your luggage in your cabin, there will be an introduction to the tour at 3:00 PM. Afterwards, your rental bikes will be distributed and your tour guide will invite you to take a test ride. After you return from your ride, your first dinner on board will be served.
After a short boat trip, you disembark in Zaandam and start your first bike tour to visit the charming open-air museum “Zaanse Schans” near Zaandam, which has been reconstructed as an authentic Dutch village from the 18th and 19th centuries. Here you will learn all about typical Dutch things such as windmills, cheese, and clogs. Then continue by bike to Haarlem, where the celebrated portrait and genre painter Frans Hals lived and worked in the 16th century. In the evening, you can stroll through the picturesque town and visit the Grote Markt (market square). If you want to cycle further, you can extend the tour to the coastal town of IJmuiden and the Kennemer Dunes and cycle along the fortifications of Amsterdam (UNESCO World Heritage Site).
After a hearty breakfast with your new cycling friends, today you will cycle through the dunes on the North Sea coast, passing the resorts of Noordwijk and Katwijk aan Zee, and finally reaching the lively university town of Leiden, birthplace of the famous artist Rembrandt van Rijn. Numerous small canals lined with historic 17th-century houses run through the fairytale-like old town. The longer bike tour takes you via Cruquius and Hillegom, where there are many flower growers and nurseries.
From Leiden, you continue cycling to the city of Delft, which gave its name to the famous blue porcelain. There you have the opportunity to visit a porcelain factory. Another attraction in the center of Delft is the crypt of the royal family of Orange. The longer bike tour takes you from Leiden to The Hague with the Binnenhof (parliament building) and the Peace Palace (Vredespaleis) and finally to Delft.
This morning, you will take a boat from Delft through the impressive international port of Rotterdam. You can start your bike tour directly in Rotterdam or take the “water bus” (your bike can come on board) to Alblasserdam, which takes about 30-40 minutes. From here, it is only a few kilometers to Kinderdijk, which is world-famous for its 19 large windmills standing in a row. The windmills are all UNESCO World Heritage Sites and offer an impressive panorama. Here you have the opportunity to visit one of these windmills. Don't forget your camera! From Kinderdijk, you will cycle directly to the cheese town of Gouda. If you still have the energy and desire to cycle a few more kilometers, you can extend the tour to Gouda via the silver town of Schoonhoven. Today's tour ends in Gouda. Dinner (not included) will be in a restaurant of your choice in the city (recommendations are available on board).
The highlight of today's bike tour is the idyllic natural landscape of South Holland. Your destination today is Kudelstaart, where the ship is waiting for you. Your route takes you past countless small canals, traditional farms, and small villages. At the landing stage on the banks of the Westeinder Plassen (“Westend Lakes”), you can relax over dinner or afterwards with a glass of wine and enjoy the wonderful view.
If you like, you can visit the world's largest plant and flower market in Aalsmeer early in the morning (optional, not included in the price). This flower auction is only busy in the early hours of the morning; you have probably never seen so many flowers in one place before. After breakfast, you can either stay on board and travel with your ship to the mooring in Amsterdam, or make your way through the Amsterdamse Bos city forest or along the Amstel River. Today, you can also cycle along Amsterdam's fortified belt (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). While in Amsterdam, don't miss out on an afternoon or evening canal cruise, a visit to the Anne Frank House, the Rembrandt House, the Royal Palace on Dam Square, and much more.
Disembarkation and individual journey home by 9:30 a.m.

Bringing your own bikes Due to limited space on the sun deck, bringing your own bike is only possible on request and to a limited extent. For safety reasons, it is not possible to charge the batteries of your own electric bikes in your cabin. The crew will inform you where you can charge your battery on deck/on board. In this case, the ship's crew and the tour operator are not liable for any damage, loss, or theft of your own bicycle or e-bike.
Timetable and program changes are subject to change. If, for example, a route cannot be navigated due to low water, high water, or bad weather, the captain reserves the right to change the route for your safety (this is not a reason for free cancellation). The same applies to lock and/or bridge repairs ordered by the authorities that were not announced in advance.
Other information Please bear in mind that your riverboat is your “vacation hotel” on the one hand, but also a working vessel that is powered by engines and must be operated continuously, even at night (in some cases with lock and bridge passages). We recommend that guests who are particularly sensitive to noise bring earplugs with them. Passing through locks causes disruption and unfortunately cannot be avoided.
Travel documents EU citizens (who do not have any special circumstances, e.g., dual citizenship, primary residence abroad, or temporarily issued travel documents) require a valid ID card or passport for this trip, which must be valid for at least 6 months after the end of the trip. If you have a different citizenship or multiple citizenships, or if you have to comply with special legal requirements, please check the respective visa and entry requirements with your local consulate.
This trip is not suitable for people with limited mobility.
We recommend taking out international health insurance with repatriation, accident, baggage, and travel cancellation insurance.
