Tour details

Individual arrival in Amsterdam. Boarding from 1:00 p.m. At around 2:00 p.m., we cast off and sail to Vianen, a small fortified town on the Lek river. The layout of the town has been preserved within its 14th-century canals and walls. After collecting your bikes, you will have the opportunity to take a short bike ride in the surrounding area.

Today, you will cycle via the silver town of Schoonhoven to Kinderdijk, Holland's most famous row of windmills – have your cameras ready, it's worth it. The last part of today's cycle route is covered by water bus – from Alblasserdam (near Kinderdijk) you can reach Dordrecht in about 10 minutes. The historic city center of Dordrecht is impressively nestled between mighty rivers.

Boat trip to Tholen, where your cycle tour begins. You cycle south through the wooded region of “Wouwse Plantage” to the impressive Kreekrak locks. From here, you continue by boat. You cross the border into Belgium almost without noticing. Look forward to the diamond city of Antwerp, also known as the birthplace of the famous painter Peter Paul Rubens.

Today, your bike tour takes you along part of the Scheldt, a picturesque tidal river. Enjoy the beautiful river landscapes. Your destination for the day is Dendermonde. Worth seeing: the Beguinage with its beautiful local history museum. Don't miss out on a coffee break at the beautiful Grote Markt.

Today, you will enjoy a leisurely cycle ride along the Scheldt to Ghent, a university city with a rich history. The city was founded in Roman times at the confluence of the Leie and Scheldt rivers. Its favorable location brought great prosperity over many years, reaching its peak at the end of the 13th and beginning of the 14th centuries. Many old patrician houses have been preserved in the city center. The cloth merchants met and conducted their business in the “Lakenhal” (cloth hall, 1425). The most important church is St. Bavo's Cathedral, which was built in various architectural styles over several centuries. The cathedral houses a number of masterpieces of medieval painting, the most famous of which is probably “The Adoration of the Lamb of God” by Jan van Eyck.

Today, your bike tour takes you through the pleasantly flat countryside of West Flanders around Bruges, the beautiful city also known as the “Venice of the North.” Bruges' old town is exceptionally well preserved. The rest of the afternoon is yours to explore Bruges' many sights. There is plenty to do in Bruges. Visit one of the many museums or simply relax and enjoy the atmosphere of this unique and unforgettably beautiful city in one of the charming cafés.

Tonight's dinner is not included in the price. Take the opportunity to sample Belgium's famous cuisine in one of the great restaurants. The crew will be happy to provide you with restaurant recommendations.

After breakfast, disembarkation by 9:30 a.m. and individual journey home.

Disembarkation by 9:30 a.m.

Minimum number of participants: 24 people up to 21 days before arrival. You can cancel your trip at any time after booking. Please refer to the travel conditions for cancellation fees.

Bringing your own bikes Due to limited space on the sun deck, bringing your own bike is only possible on request and to a limited extent. For safety reasons, it is not possible to charge the batteries of your own electric bikes in your cabin. The crew will inform you where you can charge your battery on deck/on board. In this case, the ship's crew and the organizer are not liable for any damage, loss, or theft of your own bicycle or e-bike.

Timetable and program changes are subject to change. If, for example, a route cannot be navigated due to low water, high water, or bad weather, the captain reserves the right to change the route for your safety (this is not a reason for free cancellation). The same applies to officially ordered lock and/or bridge repairs that were not announced in advance.

Other information Please bear in mind that your riverboat is not only your “vacation hotel” but also a working vessel that is powered by engines and must be operated continuously, even at night (in some cases to pass through locks and bridges). We recommend that guests who are particularly sensitive to noise bring earplugs. Passing through locks causes disturbances and unfortunately cannot be avoided.

Travel documents EU citizens (who do not have any special circumstances, e.g., dual citizenship, primary residence abroad, or provisionally issued travel documents) require a valid identity card or passport for this trip, which must be valid for at least 6 months after the end of the trip. If you have a different citizenship or multiple citizenships, or if you have to comply with special legal requirements, please check the respective visa and entry requirements with your local consulate.

This trip is not suitable for people with limited mobility.

We recommend that you take out international health insurance with repatriation, accident, baggage, and travel cancellation insurance.
