Tour details
Bienvenue and welcome! Upon arrival at Charles de Gaulle Airport, you will be met by a Boat Bike Tours representative and transferred to your stylish, centrally located hotel. There, your tour guide will welcome you and assist you with check-in. Throughout the trip, your tour guide will provide personal assistance and be on hand with tips and advice. In the afternoon, you will get to know your fellow travelers at a relaxed welcome reception. End the day at your leisure, explore the streets of Paris, and look forward to the journey ahead.
After breakfast, your journey begins with a comfortable bus transfer to the medieval heart of Flanders: Bruges. There you will board the luxurious Magnifique X, which will be your floating boutique hotel for the next few days. After settling into your suite, there will be time for a first stroll or a short bike ride through the fairytale old town of Bruges. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner together on board – and perhaps a drink on the sun deck or a dip in the whirlpool under the starry sky. Meals included: breakfast, dinner.
Your first day of cycling takes you through picturesque fields and rolling dunes to the Belgian North Sea coast. Feel the sea breeze, let your thoughts drift away, or treat yourself to a drink in a cozy beach café. On the way back to Bruges, you cycle along quiet canals. In the afternoon, an exciting lecture on the cultural diversity of the region awaits you on board. Your tour guide will be happy to recommend a nice restaurant for your evening in Bruges. Meals included: breakfast.
Today, you will cycle through rolling hills and peaceful fields towards Ghent, a lively university city steeped in history and charm. Along the way, you will enjoy a delicious “Taste of Belgium” lunch featuring Flemish specialties. In Ghent, you will explore the winding alleys, Gothic towers, and historic squares. Afterwards, you will experience the city from the water on an atmospheric canal cruise, including highlights such as St. Bavo's Cathedral and Gravensteen Castle. After a short final bike ride, you will return to the ship. Meals included: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Today, you will follow the elegant curves of the Scheldt on one of the most peaceful stages of this trip. The ride takes you through open countryside, past small villages and historic farms. A relaxed picnic in the countryside rounds off the bike tour before you reach the quiet riverside village of St. Amands in the afternoon. Your ship is already waiting here, and you can enjoy a peaceful evening on board – in tune with the rhythm of your surroundings. Meals included: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
You continue your journey along the Scheldt River, where the landscape slowly changes from rural idyll to urban elegance. Finally, you reach Antwerp, a lively port city with a rich cultural heritage. Admire the imposing Cathedral of Our Lady, discover the Grote Markt, and visit the moving Red Star Line Museum (included in the itinerary), dedicated to European emigration to America. The evening is yours to spend as you wish – whether for a stylish dinner, a stroll through the city, or a glass of Belgian beer in the evening sun. Meals included: breakfast.
After a relaxing morning on board, you will first travel by ship to near the Kreekrak locks, where your bike tour begins. You will cross the border into the Netherlands and cycle through the wooded paths of the Wouwse Plantage to the charming town of Tholen, where you will meet up with the Magnifique X again. As you continue on to Dordrecht, you will enjoy an inspiring lecture on Dutch culture and landscape on board – the perfect way to get in the mood for the days ahead. Meals included: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
The day begins with a water bus ride to Kinderdijk, one of the most famous places in the Netherlands. The 19 historic windmills, which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, tell the story of the centuries-old art of Dutch water management. You continue cycling through the green Alblasserwaard, past canals, fields, and wide horizons. Then you reach the “silver city” of Schoonhoven, where a traditional “Taste of Holland” lunch adds local flavor to your trip. In the afternoon, you arrive in Utrecht, where your Magnifique X is already waiting for you. Meals included: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
During breakfast, the ship will leisurely sail to Breukelen. After saying goodbye to the crew of the Magnifique X, the last cycling stage of your trip will begin there. Your luggage will be taken directly to your hotel in Amsterdam. Today's route is deliberately relaxed: you will follow narrow canals and green paths towards the city. Along the way, there will be time for a lunch break in a cozy village or café. In the afternoon, you will check into your centrally located hotel in Amsterdam. To round off the trip, you will meet for an atmospheric farewell reception on board a classic canal boat – a last view of the city from the water, a toast to new friendships and unforgettable experiences. Your tour guide will be at your disposal throughout the day to offer advice and assistance, help you plan your dinner, or accompany you on a final stroll through the city's charming streets. Meals included: breakfast.
Nach dem Frühstück endet Ihre offizielle Reise. Ihre Reiseleitung organisiert Ihren komfortablen Transfer zum Flughafen Amsterdam Schiphol – inklusive herzlichem Abschied nach einer Woche voller Eindrücke. Inklusive Mahlzeiten: Frühstück.

Bringing your own bikes It is not possible to bring your own bike/e-bike on this trip.
Timetable and program changes are subject to change. If, for example, a route cannot be navigated due to low water, high water, or bad weather, the captain reserves the right to change the route for your safety (this is not a reason for free cancellation). The same applies to lock and/or bridge repairs ordered by the authorities that were not announced in advance.
Other information Please bear in mind that your riverboat is not only your “holiday hotel” but also a working vessel that is powered by engines and must be operated continuously, even at night (in some cases to pass through locks and bridges). We recommend that guests who are particularly sensitive to noise bring earplugs with them. Passing through locks causes disruption and unfortunately cannot be avoided.
On some days, you can choose between a longer and a shorter bike tour. Please note that the shorter bike tour may not include all of the highlights mentioned.
Travel documents EU citizens (who do not have any special circumstances, e.g., dual citizenship, primary residence abroad, or provisionally issued travel documents) require a valid identity card or passport for this trip, which must be valid for at least 6 months after the end of the trip. If you have a different citizenship or multiple citizenships, or if you have to comply with special legal requirements, please check the respective visa and entry requirements with your local consulate.
We recommend that you take out international health insurance with repatriation, accident, baggage, and travel cancellation insurance.
This trip is not suitable for people with limited mobility.
