Tour details
Travel to Düsseldorf on your own to board the ship. Our onboard tour guide will welcome you with a glass of sparkling wine before we set sail for the first time on this voyage at around 6:00 p.m.
Welcome to Arnhem! The charming capital of the province of Gelderland uniquely blends history, culture, and modern city life. Take an optional city walking tour to explore the historic downtown with its picturesque alleys, elegant shopping arcades, and cozy squares. As you walk past historic townhouses and notable landmarks, you’ll learn more about the city’s eventful history, which is best known for the events of Operation Market Garden during World War II. At the same time, Arnhem captivates visitors today with its lively atmosphere, numerous cafés, and charming location on the Lower Rhine. Let yourself be enchanted by the unique charm of this Dutch city.
In the morning, you’ll arrive in the historic town of Medemblik on the IJsselmeer. This traditional port city charms visitors with its historic gabled houses, small canals, and typical North Holland charm. In the morning, take an optional excursion with a transfer to Hoorn, where the historic steam train is already waiting to take you on a nostalgic ride to Medemblik. Enjoy the leisurely journey through the idyllic landscape of West Friesland and experience a piece of Dutch railway history up close. In the afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the Medemblik War Museum (Dutch: Oorlogsmuseum) (optional). Even the ride in a historic army truck makes this excursion a special experience. At the museum, you’ll learn more about what life was like for the local population in the 1940s. After a welcome reception with tea or coffee and traditional “war cake,” you’ll take a guided tour of the village—reconstructed in the style of that era—and gain fascinating insights into everyday life during those years.
Round out the day in a relaxed atmosphere on board and enjoy the special ambiance of this port city.
In the morning, your ship will depart from Medemblik and, after a short cruise across the IJsselmeer, arrive at the historic port city of Enkhuizen. This former trading and seafaring city captivates visitors with its magnificent merchant houses, picturesque canals, and maritime atmosphere. In the morning, you’ll have the opportunity to take part in an optional excursion to the Munsterflowers tulip farm. During a tour of the greenhouses, you’ll learn interesting facts about Dutch tulip cultivation and gain fascinating insights into the workings of this family-run business. In the afternoon, you’ll get to know Enkhuizen better on an optional city walking tour and discover the most beautiful spots and sights of this historic town. You can wind down the evening relaxing on board or taking a leisurely stroll through Enkhuizen on your own.
Spend the morning in Enkhuizen however you like, or take an optional tour of the famous Zuiderzee Museum. In this expansive open-air museum, you’ll learn more about the daily lives and stories of the people who lived around the former Zuiderzee before the closing dike transformed the inland sea into today’s IJsselmeer. Around noon, it’s time to say goodbye to Enkhuizen. Your ship will leave the historic port city and set course for Nijmegen. Enjoy a few relaxing hours on board and take in the passing scenery as your ship glides leisurely along the Dutch waterways. You’ll arrive in the Hanseatic city of Nijmegen during the night.
With a history dating back more than 2,000 years, Nijmegen is the oldest city in the Netherlands. Around the market square, you’ll find St. Stevenskerk, medieval townhouses, restaurants, and galleries. Discover this diverse city on a guided walking tour (optional). In the afternoon, take an optional guided tour of a local brewery, followed by a tasting. Enjoy your last evening on board with a glass of fine wine in the salon and reflect on the many experiences of the past few days before your captain invites you to the gala dinner.
After breakfast, passengers will disembark and make their own way home.

Excursion Program: We would be happy to send you an order form with our selection of shore excursions before your trip begins. The excursions are offered in German.
We reserve the right to make changes to the schedule and program at any time. For example, if a section of the route cannot be navigated due to low water, high water, or bad weather, the captain reserves the right to change the route for your safety (this does not constitute grounds for a free cancellation). The same applies to lock and/or bridge repairs ordered by authorities that were not announced in advance.
Additional Information: Please keep in mind that your riverboat is, on the one hand, your “vacation hotel,” but on the other hand, it is also a working vessel that is powered by engines and must be operated continuously, even at night (including lock and bridge passages). We recommend that guests who are particularly sensitive to noise bring earplugs. Disruptions are always to be expected during lock passages. Please note: during low water levels, the pool may need to be emptied to reduce the ship’s draft and will therefore not be available.
Travel Documents: EU citizens (who do not have any special circumstances, such as dual citizenship, primary residence abroad, or provisionally issued travel documents) require a valid ID card or passport for this trip, which must remain valid for at least 6 months after the end of the trip. If you hold another citizenship or multiple citizenships, or if you are subject to special legal requirements, please check with your relevant consulate regarding the applicable visa and entry requirements.
This trip is not suitable for people with limited mobility.
We recommend purchasing international health insurance that includes repatriation, as well as accident, baggage, and trip cancellation insurance.
You may cancel your trip at any time after booking. Please refer to the terms and conditions for cancellation fees. The terms and conditions of the tour operator apply: SE-Tours GmbH, Am Grollhamm 12a, 27574 Bremerhaven
I'd be happy to help you plan your trip
