Individual arrival for embarkation in the banking city on the Main. Our on-board tour guide will welcome you with a glass of sparkling wine. In the evening, your ship departs from the livable city on the Main and sets course for Aschaffenburg.
Around midday you reach Aschaffenburg, also known as the “Bavarian Nice”. The city delights visitors with its mild climate, impressive architecture and lively culture. A particular highlight is Johannisburg Castle, an impressive Renaissance building that sits majestically on the banks of the River Main. As part of an optional excursion, you can discover the castle's magnificent interiors and art collections. Alternatively, you can take a stroll through the charming old town or relax in the idyllic Schönbusch Park. In the afternoon, continue by boat towards Würzburg.
After breakfast, you have the option of taking part in a city tour (optional) through Würzburg's old town. In addition to the historic town hall and the Romanesque St. Kilian's Cathedral, the Gothic St. Mary's Chapel with its sandstone figures by Tilman Riemenschneider is also on the program. After so many impressions, enjoy the afternoon relaxing on board.
The city of Bamberg has retained the magic of its past to this day. Experience how special Bamberg is on a guided city tour with a storyteller (optional). The historic old town ensemble with its cathedral, churches and monasteries, bridges and narrow alleyways, half-timbered houses and baroque facades will delight you.
Spend the evening on board and enjoy the passing scenery.
MS Serenade 1 is moored in Nuremberg this morning. On a combined excursion (optional) consisting of a round trip and tour, you will experience the medieval old town, which is well worth seeing. Stroll through the narrow streets and along the historic city wall during the city tour. The tour includes stops such as St. Lawrence Church, the 19-metre-high Schöner Brunnen fountain and the main market square. Continue to Regensburg.
Get to know the history and stories of the city of Regensburg on a guided city tour (optional) today. Regensburg is known for its well-preserved medieval old town, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city is a real gem and offers a wealth of historical sights.

Excursion program We would be happy to send you an order form with our offer on excursions prior to departure. The excursions will be held in German language. The excursions can only be booked in English language on request (depending on the excursion agency and the minimum number of participants).
Itinerary or program are subject to change at any time. If due to low or high water levels, or bad weather conditions, a route cannot be sailed, the captain reserves the right to alter the itinerary for your safety. (No legal right shall arise in either situation). The same shall apply for repair or maintenance works on locks and bridges ordered by river and other local authorities with little or no advance.
Important notice Please consider that on the one hand your ship is your hotel, on the other hand, however, it is an engine that has to run constantly –even at night-time (this includes passing under bridges or through locks), therefore a certain level of noise is inevitable. If you are sensitive to noise, please bring earplugs.
Travel documents EU-citizens (without special situations like dual citizenship, main residence abroad or a limited-validity passport) are required to have a valid passport or ID-card, not expiring within six (6) months of the return of your cruise. We kindly ask non-EU citizens, EU-nationals with multiple citizenship or anybody who has to respect special legal entry requirements for the country to visit, to inform about visa and entry documents at the competent embassy.
This trip is not suitable for guests with reduced mobility.
We recommend that you take out a foreign travel health insurance with repatriation coverage, an accident insurance, a luggage insurance and a travel cancellation insurance.
