Travel to Düsseldorf on your own. Boarding begins at 4:00 p.m. Over a glass of sparkling wine, you’ll meet your tour guide and the crew before the ship sets sail for Koblenz at 6:00 p.m. During the first leg of the journey along the wintry Rhine, enjoy the passing scenery and get into the festive spirit for the upcoming Advent season.
Today in Koblenz, a pre-Christmas atmosphere awaits you between the Rhine and the Moselle. During a guided city tour (optional), you’ll discover the romantic Old Town with its festively decorated alleys, historic squares, and cozy Christmas stalls. The city truly comes into its own during the Advent season, especially around the Deutsches Eck.
The rest of the day is all about the Christmas market: Stroll through the lovingly decorated alleys lined with stalls, enjoy a hot glass of mulled wine, and let the scents of cinnamon, gingerbread, and roasted almonds get you in the Christmas spirit.
Today you’ll spend the day in wintry Rüdesheim. On a festive city tour (optional), you’ll get to know this famous wine town with its narrow half-timbered streets and unique atmosphere. Festive lights and decorated houses create a magical atmosphere during the Advent season.
Afterward, the famous Christmas Market of Nations invites you to explore. Vendors from all over the world showcase traditional crafts, international specialties, and unique gift ideas. Perhaps you’ll find the perfect souvenir to take home here.
Today, Cologne, the city of the cathedral, shows off its most festive side. During a guided tour through the historic Old Town, you’ll experience magnificently lit streets, quaint alleys, and the Christmas spirit of this metropolis on the Rhine. Of course, a visit to the imposing Cologne Cathedral is a must.
Spend the rest of the day however you like: Several Christmas markets, with their lovingly decorated stalls, winter delicacies, and artisanal goods, invite you to stroll and linger. Especially in the evening, the city’s sea of lights creates a unique atmosphere.
Arrival in Düsseldorf early in the morning. After breakfast, passengers will disembark and make their own way home.

Excursion program We would be happy to send you an order form with our offer on excursions prior to departure. The excursions will be held in German language. The excursions can only be booked in English language on request (depending on the excursion agency and the minimum number of participants).
Itinerary or program are subject to change at any time. If due to low or high water levels, or bad weather conditions, a route cannot be sailed, the captain reserves the right to alter the itinerary for your safety. (No legal right shall arise in either situation). The same shall apply for repair or maintenance works on locks and bridges ordered by river and other local authorities with little or no advance.
Important notice Please bear in mind that your ship is not only your “vacation hotel”, but also a piece of equipment that is powered by an engine and has to be operated constantly, even at night (sometimes with lock and bridge passages). We recommend that guests who are particularly sensitive to noise bring earplugs. Disturbances must always be expected when passing through locks. Please note: at low water, the pool may have to be emptied to reduce the draught of the ship and is then not available.
Travel documents EU-citizens (without special situations like dual citizenship, main residence abroad or a limited-validity passport) are required to have a valid passport or ID-card, not expiring within six (6) months of the return of your cruise. We kindly ask non-EU citizens, EU-nationals with multiple citizenship or anybody who has to respect special legal entry requirements for the country to visit, to inform about visa and entry documents at the competent embassy.
This trip is not suitable for guests with reduced mobility.
We recommend that you take out a foreign travel health insurance with repatriation coverage, an accident insurance, a luggage insurance and a travel cancellation insurance.
