Tour details
Individual arrival in Porto St. Stefano, a wonderful, lively harbor town on the north side of the Monte Argentario peninsula. Check in on your ship at 6:00 p.m. If you arrive earlier, you are welcome to store your luggage on board from 2:00 p.m. A stroll through the medieval borgo-style old town, with its predominantly beige and pink house facades, will immediately put you in the mood for an Italian vacation. The 17th-century Fortezza Spagnola, located above the town and once used as a defensive fortification, is also worth a visit. Dinner on board and overnight stay in Porto St. Stefano.
From Porto St. Stefano, your first bike tour takes you to the historic town of Orbetello. With a little luck, you can admire the spectacular gathering of flamingos in the WWF nature reserve Laguna di Orbetello. Your bike tour then continues – mostly on bike paths – to the ruins of the fortified Roman town of Cosa and later through the Duna Feniglia nature reserve, whose beautiful pine forest will enchant you. Once back in Porto St. Stefano, the Atlantis awaits you. Crossing to the port town of Talamone. Overnight stay at anchor.
After breakfast, it's time to set sail! A long crossing to Elba awaits us. If the winds are favorable, you will receive instruction in sailing and can set sail together. Elba is Italy's third largest island after Sicily and Sardinia and captivates visitors with its charm, lush nature, and rich history. You will enjoy lunch on board and have time for a swim before arriving in the sheltered bay of Porto Azzuro. In the evening, you can explore the charming harbor town of Porto Azzuro.
Today's tour of the diverse island of Elba takes you to the lively town of Capoliveri, where you can soak up the Italian charm and enjoy a delicious ice cream or coffee. Afterwards, you will continue along a wonderful panoramic road and stop for lunch before returning to Porto Azurro. In the evening, your tour guide will invite you to a wine tasting.
A slightly longer bike ride from Porto Azzuro to the north of Elba Island awaits you. After a coffee break in Rio nell'Elba, you will reach one of the most impressive viewpoints of the trip. At Voltereio, you can look out over the bay of Portoferreio, the island's capital. After lunch, it is only a few kilometers to the beautiful bay of Enfola.
Today is the queen stage! You will cross the island by bike. After visiting the mountain village of Marciana, you will reach the highest point of the tour at Monte Perone. After that, it's all downhill to the village of San Piero in Campo, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch with a view of your ship. After the tour, take a refreshing dip from the ship. Then set sail for your destination, the island of Giglio. Isola Giglio is located at the southernmost tip of the Tuscan Archipelago and is a scenic gem. Mountains, forests, untouched nature, crystal-clear sea!
You disembark at Campese in the west of the island. The destination of today's bike tour is the medieval town of Giglio Castello, which sits high above the island of Giglio like an impregnable castle. A rapid descent then takes you to Giglio Porto. On the crossing to Porto St. Stefano, enjoy the sea air once more and reflect on an eventful week of sailing and cycling. Your trip comes to an atmospheric end with a cozy farewell evening on board.
After breakfast on board, you can check out by 9:00 a.m. and begin your individual journey home.
