Tour details
Travel to Frankfurt am Main on your own and board the ship at 4:00 p.m. Our onboard tour guide and the ship’s crew will warmly welcome you aboard with a glass of sparkling wine. We’ll cast off at 5:00 p.m. and set sail for Mainz.
You’ll spend the morning in Mainz. Discover the perfect blend of history and modernity: Mainz Cathedral, St. Stephen’s Church with its Chagall stained-glass windows, and numerous cozy wine bars along the narrow streets of the Old Town are just a few of the highlights of this charming city on the Rhine. In the afternoon, enjoy the passing scenery as your ship continues its journey down the Rhine. Your ship will spend the night in Mannheim before continuing on in the early morning hours to Heidelberg, the beautiful UNESCO City of Literature and Diversity.
Heidelberg enchants visitors with its picturesque Old Town, world-famous castle, and Germany’s oldest university. Nestled in the rolling hills of the Neckar Valley, the city offers a unique blend of history, culture, and lively atmosphere. Heidelberg is a place to marvel at and linger in. It’s not until early evening that we set sail again! And you’ll still have some time in the afternoon to explore on your own.
From your overnight stop in Eberbach, follow the gently winding course of the Neckar River. Your destination is another charming town on the Neckar: Heilbronn combines the Swabian way of life with modern urban flair. Surrounded by vineyards and crisscrossed by the river, the town invites you to linger and explore. Historic buildings such as City Hall with its astronomical clock, idyllic riverside promenades, and lively squares define the cityscape. Whether you’re strolling through the Old Town, enjoying a glass of regional wine, or visiting the experimenta science center—Heilbronn reveals itself to be diverse, delightful, and surprisingly modern.
The Heilbronn region is one of Germany’s most beautiful wine regions and captivates visitors with its harmonious blend of nature, culture, and culinary delights. Spend the morning exploring picturesque towns in the surrounding area with us and experience the region’s warm hospitality and unique charm. At noon, your ship will depart from Heilbronn and take you to Bad Wimpfen.
The morning is all about the picturesque town of Bad Wimpfen, with its impressive Stauferpfalz, medieval townscape, and healing climate. Take this opportunity to stroll through the historic old town, a designated historic preservation district, with its numerous half-timbered houses before your ship sets sail again toward Heidelberg. In the evening, you’ll arrive in the university town on the Neckar for an overnight stop.
We set sail first thing in the morning! Enjoy a relaxing boat ride through the picturesque Neckar Valley. As idyllic river landscapes, rolling vineyards, and charming riverside towns glide by on board, you’ll experience the beauty of two of Germany’s most significant rivers from a very special perspective. Your destination is Nierstein. This town on the Rhine is one of the most beautiful wine-growing towns in Rheinhessen and captivates visitors with its idyllic setting. Known for its historic vineyards and the famous “Roter Hang,” this charming town combines wine culture, history, and Mediterranean flair. During your farewell dinner on board, you’ll enjoy the final leg of the cruise and arrive at your destination, Frankfurt am Main, late at night.

Excursion Program: We’d be happy to send you an order form with our selection of shore excursions before your trip begins. The excursions are offered in German. Please note that the excursion package can only be booked in advance. Additional bookings for individual excursions on board are subject to availability.
We reserve the right to make changes to the schedule and program at any time. If, for example, a section of the route cannot be navigated due to low water, high water, or bad weather, the captain reserves the right to change the route for your safety (this does not constitute grounds for a free cancellation). The same applies to lock and/or bridge repairs ordered by authorities that were not announced in advance.
Additional Information Please keep in mind that your riverboat is, on the one hand, your “vacation hotel,” but on the other hand, it is also a working vessel that is propelled by engine power and must be operated continuously, even at night (including lock and bridge passages). We recommend that guests who are particularly sensitive to noise bring earplugs. Disruptions are always to be expected during lock passages. Please note: the sun deck may be temporarily closed due to low bridges and for your own safety.
Travel Documents: EU citizens (who do not have any special circumstances, such as dual citizenship, primary residence abroad, or provisionally issued travel documents) must have a valid national ID card or passport for this trip, which must remain valid for at least 6 months after the end of the trip. If you hold another citizenship or multiple citizenships, or if you are subject to special legal requirements, please check with your local consulate regarding the applicable visa and entry requirements.
This trip is not suitable for people with limited mobility.
We recommend purchasing international health insurance that includes repatriation, as well as accident, baggage, and trip cancellation insurance.
