Individual arrival in Düsseldorf, the Rhine metropolis. Upon embarkation, our cruise management will welcome you with a glass of sparkling wine. In the evening, the time will have come to say “cast off!” and you will be on your way to Rotterdam.

A hearty welcome to Rotterdam! The most dynamic city in the Netherlands is one of the cultural centres of this country. On an optional guided walking tour, past the famed market hall und den iconic cube houses – on a stroll through Rotterdam you may feel as in a design museum under the open sky – you will gain a first impression of this multi-facetted city. In the afternoon, experience one of the world`s largest seaports, bustling with activity. An experience you should not miss out on: enjoy amazing views of the gigantic container terminal from up close and marvel at the unique skyline with the city`s rich architectural gems(optional).

Just in time for breakfast, you will reach Ghent.

In the morning, we will offer the possibility to discover Bruges, also known as the Venice of the north, on an optional guided walk. Stroll through the historic Old Town past the imposing belfry, majestic churches and old windmills.

Towards evening, the charming city of Ghent will enchant you with the magical light plan walk. The walk (optional) will take you past beautifully illuminated monuments, streets and waterways, allowing you to experience the city in a new way, completely different!

In the early morning, the SE-Manon will set sail for Antwerp. During breakfast, enjoy the stunning views of the passing landscape. Seize the day taking a stroll through the charming city of Antwerp, or take your time to prepare and get dressed for New Year`s Eve. In the evening, a festive New Year`s Eve Dinner will await you and you can look forward to a spectacular fireworks display lightening up the night sky over Antwerp.

New year`s Day you will spend exploring Antwerp, the city of Diamonds. During the 15th and 16th century, the city was considered one of most important commercial metropolis in Europe, and hence was very wealthy. An important share in building this wealth was obtained by trading and processing diamonds. The city was also home of many artists, the most famous among them are Rubens and van Dyck. Discover Antwerp during a small city coach tour and afterwards a guided walk through the historic Old Town. In the afternoon, there will be plenty of time to explore the city on your own. You may also stop for a break in one of the numerous cafes on the Grote Markt. In the evening, the MS SE-MANON will sail to Nijmegen.

In the morning, your ship will arrive in the cosy Hanseatic City of Nijmegen, founded more than 2000 years ago and thus the oldest city in the Netherlands. Near the market square, you will find the St Stephen`s Church, medieval bourgeois houses, restaurants and art galleries. Discover this city with its many faces on the guided walk (optional).

Enjoy your last evening aboard over a glass of fine wine in the saloon and recall the many impressions of the last few days.

After breakfast, disembarkation will take place. Afterwards, individual journey home.

The excursions can only be booked in English language on request (depending on the excursion agency and the minimum number of participants).

Itinerary or program are subject to change at any time. If due to low or high water levels, or bad weather conditions, a route cannot be sailed, the captain reserves the right to alter the itinerary for your safety. (No legal right shall arise in either situation). The same shall apply for repair or maintenance works on locks and bridges ordered by river and other local authorities with little or no advance.

Important notice Please bear in mind that your ship is not only your “vacation hotel”, but also a piece of equipment that is powered by an engine and has to be operated constantly, even at night (sometimes with lock and bridge passages). We recommend that guests who are particularly sensitive to noise bring earplugs. Disturbances must always be expected when passing through locks. Please note: at low water, the pool may have to be emptied to reduce the draught of the ship and is then not available.

Travel documents EU-citizens (without special situations like dual citizenship, main residence abroad or a limited-validity passport) are required to have a valid passport or ID-card, not expiring within six (6) months of the return of your cruise. We kindly ask non-EU citizens, EU-nationals with multiple citizenship or anybody who has to respect special legal entry requirements for the country to visit, to inform about visa and entry documents at the competent embassy.

This trip is not suitable for guests with reduced mobility.

We recommend that you take out a foreign travel health insurance with repatriation coverage, an accident insurance, a luggage insurance and a travel cancellation insurance.
