Looking Forward to 2027

As the current travel season gradually draws to a close, anticipation for the year ahead is already growing. In 2027, our Bike & Boat tours will once again take you through varied landscapes, past well-known cities, historic towns and idyllic riverbanks. Alongside popular classics, the new season also brings several exciting additions: a new ship on the Rhine, Moselle and Saar, a round trip from Frankfurt and even greater comfort on our tours through Flanders.
A Travel Season Full of Possibilities

Each destination has its own unique character. In Holland, canals, windmills and small harbour towns accompany your daily cycle tours. Along the Danube, natural scenery, wine-growing regions and famous European cities take turns in creating an ever-changing landscape. The Rhine, Moselle and Saar lead through impressive river valleys, past castles, vineyards and historic towns.

The concept always remains the same: during the day, you explore the region by bike, while your ship continues to the next destination and awaits your arrival. This allows you to travel actively and comfortably without having to pack and unpack your suitcase every day.

Holland: Wide-Open Landscapes and Maritime Charm

It is no coincidence that Holland is one of the most popular destinations for Bike & Boat holidays. Its well-developed network of cycle paths and predominantly flat terrain provide ideal conditions for relaxed cycling tours. Along the way, wide polder landscapes, small harbour towns, windmills and lively cities create plenty of variety.

In North Holland, our tours take you along the IJsselmeer and through typically Dutch landscapes. South Holland, meanwhile, delights with its waterways, historic towns and cities such as Rotterdam, as well as the famous windmills of Kinderdijk.

Zeeland offers an even more maritime experience and is also known as the “Land in the Sea”. Islands and peninsulas, long beaches, dunes and Oosterschelde National Park define the region. On the Zeeland route aboard MS NORMANDIE, you will discover historic towns including Zierikzee, Veere and Middelburg, as well as the impressive Delta Works at Neeltje Jans.

If you would like to experience Holland for yourself in 2027, our Bike & Boat tours in Holland offer a variety of ways to discover the country from the water and from the saddle.

Flanders: Between Brussels and Bruges with an E-Bike Included

Historic cities, small waterways and picturesque Flemish landscapes make Belgium a wonderfully varied destination for cycling enthusiasts. Brussels and Bruges reveal two very different sides of the country: a vibrant European capital meets canals, cobbled streets and medieval architecture.

New for the 2027 season: an e-bike is included in the price of our Bike & Boat tours aboard MS FLOOR VAN AEMSTEL between Brussels and Bruges, in either direction. This allows you to complete each stage in comfort while still having plenty of energy left to enjoy the many sights and culinary delights along the way.

The Danube: A Classic That Never Ceases to Surprise

The Danube connects impressive landscapes, famous cities and several countries. It flows through wine-growing regions such as the Wachau Valley, past charming small towns and onwards to European capitals including Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest.

Many sections of the Danube Cycle Path are virtually flat, making them particularly suitable for leisure cyclists. At the same time, the combination of nature, culture and regional traditions ensures there is always something new to discover along the way.

In 2027, you can once again experience the Danube on a variety of Bike & Boat tours – from shorter journeys between Passau or Engelhartszell and Vienna to longer routes towards Budapest.

The Rhine, Moselle and Saar: Travelling aboard MS SWITZERLAND

From the 2027 season, MS SWITZERLAND will operate Bike & Boat tours throughout this region. These include journeys from Cologne to Strasbourg and from Koblenz to Saarburg. The ship features 56 outside cabins for up to 113 guests, as well as a panoramic lounge, a restaurant and a spacious sun deck.

Main, Rhine and Neckar: Round Trip from Frankfurt

Aboard MS CASANOVA, you can discover several varied river regions in 2027. New to the programme is a round trip from/to Frankfurt, following the Main, Rhine and Neckar rivers. Historic towns, romantic wine-growing landscapes and picturesque riverbanks accompany you from one stage to the next.

MS CASANOVA also operates between Frankfurt and Bamberg and between Bamberg and Regensburg, with both routes available in either direction. These journeys follow the Main, the Main–Danube Canal, revealing the many different sides of southern Germany. Highlights include the Franconian wine region and historic towns along the rivers.

The tours aboard MS CASANOVA offer an especially varied choice for anyone wishing to explore Germany actively by Bike & Boat.

Between the Capital and the Baltic Coast: Travelling aboard MS PRINCESS

From the vibrant capital to the Baltic Sea, a journey aboard MS PRINCESS connects a fascinating variety of landscapes. In 2027, the ship will operate between Berlin and Stralsund, with tours available in both directions.

The route leads through Brandenburg’s waterways and lakes, along the Havel and Oder rivers and onwards to the Baltic coast. Highlights along the way include the Niederfinow Boat Lift, Lower Oder Valley National Park and the Polish city of Szczecin. Crossing the Szczecin Lagoon, the journey continues to the islands of Usedom and Rügen before reaching the Hanseatic city of Stralsund.

On our tours aboard MS PRINCESS, you will experience a varied combination of vibrant city life, peaceful river landscapes and the maritime openness of the Baltic coast.
